ExistenceThe main topic of this issue of the anarchistic revue Existence is „ethic consumption“. For ethic consumption to be really meaningful and not to be just a lifestyle, it has to be viewed from anti-capitalistic point of view. It cannot be just another kind of consumerism, it has to bring different ways and be based on different values than those imposed on us by capitalism. Our concept of ethic consumption has lost individual character, on the contrary, it emphasizes collective dimension. Existence deals with the topic in general. Besides that it also deals with vegetarianism, commensality, boycott, industrial agriculture, waste management…

The magazine presents documentation of public events that were held by the anti-authoritarian movement in the last three months and on publications of the same period. We focus in detail on the swift campaign, which helped to prevent several poor families from being evicted on the street.

We interviewed the community members from Andalusian farm Somonte at the occasion of the first anniversary of the take-over. There are also interviews with a member of the Danish federation Libertære Socialister and with an engaged artist Toy_box.

The world inspiration is offered in the article on a solidary health centre in Greece in Thessaloniki in Greece, and in a communiqué of EZLN published at the occasion of the 19th anniversary of the Zapatistas rebellion.

Among the great personalities we present Albert Camus, an existentialist close to anarchism, and a Swiss anarchist Andre Boesinger who died eight years ago.
